Christmas trees

Believe it or not, you can get it through Choices this year!  Choose a gorgeous Frasier Fir or a beautiful Frasier Fir wreath with Blue Berried Juniper, incense Cedar, and pine cones and support your favorite pregnancy center at the same time.  Why fight mall traffic to get a tree that was cut and has been sitting outside since October?  You can get one that has been freshly cut right before you pick it up.

It's simple--just follow these steps:

1.  Visit http://christmastreefundraiser.net/choices-chattanooga/
2.  Click the "Buy a Tree" button and select the tree and/or wreath of your choice from Snowbird Farms in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville
3.  Proceed through the checkout process.
4.  Pick it up at our center at 6232 Vance Road on November 19th, the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
5.  Enjoy your beautiful tree and the fact that at least 25% of what you paid for the tree is going to support Choices Pregnancy Resource Center!

BUT WAIT!!!  Do you think that's too early to get your tree?

  • You don’t have to take it into the house right away!
  • The trees are cut just before they are delivered.
  • That means they are much fresher than those at home improvement stores.
  • Just put it in water in your garage until you are ready to decorate it.
  • If you aren't happy when you put it up, there’s a money back guarentee.*
  • If Saturday, Nov 19th really just does not work for you, thanks to our gracious friends at S & S Auto, we will be able to store the tree for you temporarily.  Call our office to make arrangements.

HERE'S THE GUARANTEE
*If a tree purchaser is dissatisfied FOR ANY REASON after taking the tree home, their money will be completely refunded, AND they may keep the tree.  To request a refund, the tree purchaser simply returns to your ChristmasTreeFundraiser.Net website, selects the “Contact Us” button and follows the simple instructions regarding exercising the Guarantee.  A refund for the full amount of the price paid for the tree will immediately be credited back to the tree purchaser.  Choices, however, is still paid their portion of the money for the sale of the tree.  That’s right!  Your organization is paid their portion of the funds from the sale of a tree, even when a purchaser exercises the Guarantee!   That way, they are not penalized by a customer return.  So the guarantee not only applies to the buyer, but also to your organization.  The refunded purchaser, then, will still have plenty of time to procure another tree, elsewhere, before Christmas.  We encourage them to then donate their tree to a charity or to an individual who is facing challenging financial circumstances.  (From the ChristmasTreeFundraiser.Net website)

Sanctity of Human Life Week

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday - January 15th or 22nd
Since 1983, Americans have observed Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (SOHLS) as a day to celebrate the intrinsic value of all human life. This year will mark the 39th anniversary of the tragic Supreme Court decision in Roe vs. Wade that opened the floodgates for abortion on demand.  Since January 22, 1973, approximately 50 million children have been aborted in the United States.  This important day also provides an opportunity for pregnancy centers to share about the work they do to bring life-affirming resources to their communities and to empower women and men to choose life for their unborn children.

Most area churches will observe Sanctity of Human Life Sunday on January 22nd, though many Southern Baptist churches will observe it on Sunday, January 15th.  Choices has free bulletin inserts, speakers, and videos available on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to reserve resources for your church, please fill out this contact form or call 423.892.0803 and ask for Julia.

Wash for Life

Wash for Life
Saturday, September 17, 2011
The Wash for Life is an annual pro-life youth event. On the same day, groups of youth all over the country hold a car wash in their own home town and donate the money to a local Pregnancy Care Center. This way, they participate in a national event while at the same time helping their own community. This year's Wash for Life will be on September 17, 2011.  It's a great opportunity for students to take an active role in the pro-life movement and it's fun!

Please contact Julia Kurschner at 423-892-0803  if you or someone else in your church may be interested. Visit www.washforlife.org for more information.
